Since 2000 Huntington Beach has hosted more AVP events than any other location. The 2017 season kicks off in Surf City USA, ensuring an 18th straight year that a pro beach volleyball tournament has been played there. For both the men and women, the field has been wide open, as six different teams have won in the last seven years for each gender. That trend can continue given the plethora of new partnerships in 2017. But on the side of consistency has been John Hyden, as in six of those seven years he has played in the finals, and Kerri Walsh Jennings, whose seven victories here ties for her most for any domestic location.

3) For the safety and comfort of all guests, the following items are not allowed at the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour: large bags, weapons, alcohol, coolers; laser-lights, noisemakers, i.e. air-horns; glass bottles, aluminum cans or beverages of any kind.
4) Large posters and banners may be inspected by security before being allowed in the venue. The AVP reserves the right to refuse admission of signage. Sticks or poles to hold flags/banners are not permitted.
5) The AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour is a Non-Smoking event. Smoking is allowed in designated areas only.
